Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi, Director of the Yemen Branch of the Arab Academy for Administrative, Financial and Banking Sciences, received Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hamoud Al-Qudsi, President of Saba Region University, at his office in Aden, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination between academic and research institutions.

The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation between the Arab Academy and Saba Region University in several areas of mutual interest, particularly academic and research cooperation, exchange of expertise, and the implementation of joint academic, scientific, and training programs and activities, contributing to the development of academic performance and the enhancement of the quality of higher education and scientific research.

The meeting also addressed the ongoing preparations for the International Conference on Digital Transformation, Innovation and Sustainable Development (DTISD 2026), organized by the Academy in partnership with the University of Aden, under the patronage of Dr. Shae’a Mohsen Al-Zindani, Prime Minister, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amin Noman Al-Qudsi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with technical sponsorship from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

The two sides exchanged views on the importance of the conference and its role in promoting academic and research activity, keeping pace with rapid digital transformations, and supporting innovation and sustainable development.

Dr. Murad Al-Nashmi affirmed the Academy’s commitment to expanding its partnerships with Yemeni universities and building effective, sustainable cooperation that facilitates the exchange of expertise and the development of high-quality programs and initiatives that respond to current requirements and community needs.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qudsi expressed his appreciation for the academic and scientific role played by the Academy, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two institutions and benefiting from their respective capabilities and expertise in pursuit of shared objectives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and translating the proposed areas of cooperation into joint programs and initiatives that strengthen academic and scientific integration between the two institutions.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdulqader Mohammed Al-Abbadi, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Academy, and Mr. Mohammed Hussein Abu Sabaa, Secretary-General of the Academy’s Yemen Branch.
