Director of the Arab Academy’s Yemen Branch Receives the President of Al-Jund University for Science and Technology to Explore Opportunities for Strategic Collaboration
Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi, Director of the Yemen Branch of the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences (AAMBFS), welcomed Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Al-Qubati, President of Al-Jund University for Science and Technology, to the Academy's headquarters in Aden on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
During the meeting, both parties explored opportunities for strengthening institutional cooperation, including academic exchange, collaboration in graduate studies and scientific research, as well as joint initiatives in professional training and consulting services. Prof. Dr. Al-Nashmi welcomed the delegation from Al-Jund University and reaffirmed the Academy's commitment to building strategic partnerships with higher education institutions to meet educational and professional needs while supporting sustainable development.
Prof. Dr. Al-Nashmi highlighted that the Arab Academy, established in 1988 as one of the institutions of Joint Arab Action, has been operating in Yemen since 2004. He noted that the Academy continues to respond to evolving labor market demands by offering high-quality academic programs at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.
He also explained that, as part of the Academy's commitment to social responsibility, a 40% scholarship has been introduced for students enrolling in undergraduate programs during the current academic year, with the aim of supporting students and encouraging them to pursue higher education.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Al-Qubati commended the Academy's significant contributions to advancing higher education and scientific research. He presented an overview of Al-Jund University, its academic programs, and its educational initiatives, expressing his aspiration to expand cooperation with the Academy, particularly in the field of professional training. He also thanked the Academy's leadership for the warm welcome and generous hospitality.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to maintain regular communication, exchange visits, and strengthen collaborative initiatives that contribute to knowledge development and community service.
Representing the Arab Academy at the meeting were Prof. Dr. Abdulqader Mohammed Al-Abbadi, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and Mr. Mohammed Hussein Abu Saba’a, Secretary-General of the Yemen Branch. Representing Al-Jund University were Prof. Dr. Abdulqawi Noman, Dean of Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies, and Prof. Dr. Sameer Al-Asbahi, Dean of the Center for Academic Development and Quality Assurance.
