Under the patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister Salem Bin Buraik and the supervision of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Wasabi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education, and Vocational Training, the University of Aden, in partnership with the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences (AAMBFS), officially launched the call for research paper submissions for the First International Conference on Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Sustainable Development (DTISD 2026).

The opening ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran and was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdulnasser Al-Wali, Minister of Civil Service, deputy ministers from the Ministry of Higher Education, university presidents, academics, and distinguished guests.

Representing the Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Mazen Al-Jaafari, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, conveyed the Minister’s greetings and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the conference and similar scientific events that promote knowledge, expand scientific research, encourage high-quality academic output, and contribute to advancing higher education.

In his address, Prof. Dr. Al-Khader Nasser Lasour, President of the University of Aden, expressed his pleasure at the launch of the conference's research paper submission phase. He emphasized the successful partnership between the University of Aden and the Arab Academy and highlighted the University's distinguished academic heritage and the significant contributions of its graduates across government institutions, healthcare organizations, ministries, the public and private sectors, universities, schools, technical institutes, and Yemeni communities abroad. He affirmed the University's commitment to keeping pace with scientific and technological advancements, particularly in the fields of digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development.

Speaking on behalf of the Academy, Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi, Director of the Yemen Branch of the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences, welcomed the participants and expressed his pride in collaborating with the University of Aden, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the Arab world.

He stated that the conference is more than a scientific event; it is a national and regional platform for knowledge exchange and constructive dialogue aimed at shaping a shared vision for the future of the digital economy and sustainable development.

Prof. Dr. Al-Nashmi added that the Academy has made it a strategic mission to develop leadership capabilities in management, finance, and banking while preparing a generation capable of leading transformation across public institutions and the private sector. He reaffirmed the Academy's deep commitment to supporting scientific research, strengthening institutional collaboration, and building bridges between academics, professionals, and decision-makers.

He also highlighted the conference's technical sponsorship by IEEE, one of the world's most respected professional organizations in engineering, technology, and scientific research. This partnership will enhance the international visibility of participating researchers and facilitate the integration of their work into the global research community.

He noted that the organizing, scientific, and technical committees are working diligently to deliver a comprehensive international conference that combines academic excellence with economic and developmental relevance while embracing global best practices. He concluded by expressing his appreciation to everyone who has contributed to supporting the conference, especially the University of Aden under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Al-Khader Nasser Lasour, and invited researchers to enrich the conference with high-quality research and innovative ideas that contribute to building a more advanced and sustainable future.

Prof. Dr. Abdulqader Mohammed Al-Abbadi, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and Chair of the Scientific Committee, presented an overview of the conference's objectives, thematic tracks, submission guidelines, evaluation criteria, and the scientific significance of the First International Conference on Digital Transformation, Innovation, and Sustainable Development.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Khaled Omar Basaleem and Prof. Dr. Fadl Al-Rubaie, Deputy Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Dr. Abdullah Saleh Al-Haj, President of the Executive Body of Community Colleges; university presidents; deans; faculty members from the University of Aden and the Arab Academy; and a distinguished gathering of academics and officials.
