The temporary capital, Aden, witnessed today the official launch of the 2025–2029 Strategic Plan of the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank), under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency Major General Salem Al-Suqatri, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries. The event was attended by Mr. Hashed Al-Hamdani, Acting Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of CAC Bank; Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi, Director of the Yemen Branch of the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences (AAMBFS); Captain Saleh Salim Bin Nahid, Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology; and members of the Bank’s Board of Directors.

The launch marked the culmination of several months of collaborative work carried out by the Arab Academy in its capacity as the strategic consulting partner, working closely with the Bank’s leadership and professional teams to develop a comprehensive strategic roadmap that reflects the Bank’s long-term vision, strengthens its financial sustainability, and enhances its competitiveness within the banking sector.

During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi, Director of the Academy’s Yemen Branch and Head of the Consulting Experts Team, delivered a presentation highlighting the key outcomes of the strategic plan, the methodology adopted in its development, its added value, and the key performance indicators designed to measure its success.

Eng. Mohammed Abu Hatim, Assistant to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of CAC Bank, also delivered a detailed presentation outlining the implementation framework, the upcoming phases of the strategy, and its expected contribution to enhancing the Bank’s operational performance and the quality of its services.

In his remarks, His Excellency Major General Salem Al-Suqatri praised this significant achievement, stating that CAC Bank represents a cornerstone in supporting Yemen’s agricultural and economic development. He emphasized that the new strategic plan would open new horizons for growth and commended the Arab Academy for its professional expertise and valuable contribution to the development of this important strategic document.

For his part, Mr. Hashed Al-Hamdani, Chief Executive Officer of CAC Bank, described the new strategic plan as the beginning of a new phase in the Bank’s development, one that will strengthen the confidence of customers and shareholders while enabling the Bank to respond effectively to the evolving dynamics of both the local and regional banking markets. He affirmed the Bank’s commitment to translating the strategy into tangible results.

Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi expressed the Academy’s pride in contributing to this national project, noting that the initiative represents a successful model of collaboration between academic institutions and the banking sector in support of sustainable development.
