The Arab Academy Organizes a Training Workshop on Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy
As part of the Global Money Week activities, the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences organized a training workshop titled "Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy", presented by financial and banking expert Dr. Hussein Salama from the Arab Republic of Egypt on Thursday, 27 February 2025, at the Academy's headquarters in Aden.
The workshop targeted representatives of Yemeni banks and members of the Global Money Week – Yemen team. It covered several key topics, including the importance of opening bank accounts for all segments of society and the role of banks in strengthening the local economy. The workshop also featured valuable discussions on effective ways to promote financial inclusion and expand access to banking services.
In this context, Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi, Director of the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences, stated:
"The Academy is committed to supporting efforts to promote financial inclusion by offering specialized training programs that keep pace with global developments in the banking sector. Empowering individuals to access financial services enhances economic stability and supports sustainable development, and we remain committed to promoting financial literacy across all segments of society."
At the conclusion of the event, the workshop participants were honored in the presence of Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi, Director of the Academy's Yemen Branch, Mr. Ahmed Maqbool, Director of the Training Institute, and Dr. Hussein Salama, the financial and banking expert who delivered the workshop.
