Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi, Director of the Yemen Branch of the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences (AAMBFS), accompanied by Prof. Dr. Abdulqader Mohammed Al-Abbadi, Dean of the College – Aden, participated in the Scientific Dialogue Seminar organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Wednesday, 16 April 2025, in Aden.

The seminar, titled "The First Student Scientific Conference: Significance and Dimensions," was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak, Prime Minister, and under the direct supervision of H.E. Prof. Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training.

During the seminar, H.E. the Prime Minister expressed his pleasure at attending the event, which brought together a distinguished group of researchers and academics dedicated to advancing scientific research. He expressed his hope that both the seminar and the First Student Scientific Conference would contribute to developing well-researched, forward-looking solutions that support national development and the country's future.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the seminar's discussion themes, particularly the need to strengthen partnerships between higher education institutions and the private sector, emphasizing the vital role of scientific research, postgraduate studies, and collaborative efforts in addressing national challenges.

He further stated:

"We aspire to transform this participation into genuine research partnerships built on scientific foundations and joint planning."

He also called on the Ministry of Higher Education to strengthen communication with highly qualified Yemeni professionals and academics living abroad, encouraging them to contribute their expertise to the country's development, describing them as one of Yemen's most valuable national assets.

For his part, H.E. Prof. Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister's participation and support of the seminar.

The Minister noted that the seminar focused on five key themes, highlighting the conference's objectives and featuring contributions from experts in higher education from both within Yemen and abroad, in addition to an important presentation by representatives of the private sector on strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions and industry.

He further explained that the Ministry aims to establish a major national scientific event through the conference, scheduled to be held on 21 April 2025. More than 151 research papers were submitted by Yemeni researchers, of which 58 papers were accepted following peer review and organized into four main thematic tracks.

Commenting on the event, Prof. Dr. Murad Mohammed Al-Nashmi reaffirmed the Arab Academy's strong support for the Ministry's initiatives, emphasizing that the First Student Scientific Conference represents a promising platform for showcasing the creativity and research excellence of young Yemeni scholars. He also confirmed the Academy's full readiness to contribute to the success of this important national event.

The seminar was attended by university presidents, deputy ministers from the Ministry of Higher Education, researchers, academics, and other distinguished guests.
