The Entrepreneurship Club at the Arab Academy Organizes a “Health Awareness” Workshop to Promote Health Literacy Among Youth

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and encourage positive lifestyle practices, the Entrepreneurship Club at the Arab Academy for Management, Banking and Financial Sciences (AAMBFS), in partnership with the FMF Foundation, organized a health awareness workshop titled “Health Awareness” on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Academy’s campus in Aden. The event was attended by a number of students and individuals interested in health and wellness.

The workshop opened with welcoming remarks by Dr. Tawfiq Barahmah, Dean of the College, who emphasized the importance of strengthening health awareness among young people. He noted that both physical and mental well-being are fundamental to building students’ personal development and enabling their academic and professional success. He also praised the Entrepreneurship Club for organizing impactful community initiatives and expressed his appreciation to the representatives of the FMF Foundation for their valuable contribution to the event.

The workshop covered several important health topics directly relevant to young people, including depression, mental health, the dangers of smoking and drug abuse, obesity, and nutrition. It aimed to raise participants’ awareness of these issues and empower them to make informed and healthy lifestyle choices.

The sessions were delivered by Dr. Iqbal Tareq Al-Saqqaf and Dr. Buthaina Ezzeldin Abdo from the FMF Foundation. Through engaging and accessible presentations, they introduced key health concepts and shared practical guidance on disease prevention and healthy living. The workshop also featured an interactive discussion, allowing participants to ask questions, exchange experiences, and correct common misconceptions related to physical and mental health.

The workshop concluded with participants emphasizing the importance of organizing more initiatives of this kind, recognizing their valuable role in enhancing health awareness, improving quality of life, and promoting public health.
